In December 2021, during a time when the world was still navigating the challenges of COVID-19, the KEYJ Foundation hosted its very first pre-launch music event and fundraiser — an intimate afternoon filled with music, connection and hope.

With masks still required and live performances in short supply, the event brought people together through the healing power of music. The afternoon opened beautifully with Trevor Fleurs on keyboards, setting the tone for a memorable gathering.

Guests were then treated to an exceptional performance by the George Werner Quartet, featuring the remarkable vocals of Danny Butler. These accomplished musicians performed for an appreciative audience, reminding everyone of the joy and comfort that live music can bring during difficult times.

A special thank you goes to Bishops Diocesan College for kindly allowing the use of their venue and helping make the event possible.

The combination of wonderful music, shared conversation and good food created a truly special atmosphere — marking the beginning of the KEYJ Foundation journey and the community spirit that continues to guide our work today.
